Put on the ring and make music
Start with the Ring
The ring controller of the Sway Station can be recharged and stored on the knob button.
Ring Controller and Control Station
Sway Station is composed by a Ring Controller and a Controll Station. Inorder to use this product, user need to put on the Ring Controller.
Electromagnetic field
After activating the Sway Station, the control station will generate an electromagnetic field to detect the ring controller's movement in the x, y, and z axis.
Prototyping
By using this prototype, the user can generate MIDI input while adjusting the pitch (X axis), volume (Z axis) and Filter Cut-off (Y axis) at the same time.
The Sway app
To enhance their experience with the Sway Station, users can leverage the Sway app. This app allows for deep customization of the device, enabling the adjustment of parameters along the xyz-axis. Such customization ensures that each user can tailor their music creation and performance experience to suit their unique style and preferences.
Technology and Costs
By applying the technology of electromagnetic field tracking, Sway Station can accurately locate the user's hand position, and, due to the low cost of this technology, the cost of this product can be reduced by a large percentage.
The electromagnetic field generated by the Control Station can detect copper rings within a certain range of the Ring Controller. The Control Station generates an electromagnetic field that detects the copper rings within a certain range of the Ring Controller and converts the control signal into a MIDI signal.
